Welcome to Grossman Ripps Law
Grossman Ripps Law offers its services for residents and property transactions located in the Upper Valley region of Vermont and New Hampshire. The firm is deeply rooted in our community. Dan Grossman began practicing law in 1980 — and started his own practice in 1982. Markell Ripps joined him in that practice in 2010, and a few years later they formally joined forces as Grossman & Ripps. They were joined by Cara Albert in 2017 (to 2024) and by Chris Burgess in 2021 (to present). Dan Grossman retired from the practice of law in 2023, and the firm’s dedicated staff continues to serve its clients’ needs in the same location it has for three decades, next to the Connecticut River at the railroad crossing, on Crossing Lane off of River Road in Norwich, Vermont. The firm was renamed Grossman Ripps Law in 2024, and its logo represents these long-standing proud local roots.
Since its establishment, the practice has specialized in the following areas:
- Real Estate Transactions: Title searches and title insurance for clients buying, selling, and refinancing property.
- Real Estate Services: Closing and settlement services for mortgage brokers, banks, and other lenders.
- Estate Planning Services: Wills, trusts, and powers of attorney for clients in the middle class.
- Estate Administration Services: Probate of non-adversarial estates.
- Small Business Law: Representation for limited liability companies in relation to real estate transactions.
